Workshop: ”Volunteering for internationals” by MOOIWERK

Volunteering comes in all shapes and sizes. From driver to a buddy, from short projects to volunteer work where you can give your heart and soul every week. Volunteering is for everyone! Young, old, educated or not. And from practical craftsmanship to analytical thinkers. In short, something for everyone.

Do you want to get to know yourself better, use your talent for your city, or are you looking for new contacts or a challenge? Everything is possible. Discover what the options are and what suits you! Join this meeting and learn more about voluntary work in Breda.

About the program

We have invited active international volunteers who come to share their personally story about volunteering in Breda and how it helped them to integrate in a new environment. MOOIWERK also invites organizations from Breda too, this gives both parties, you and the organization a chance to meet each other. Who knows, maybe this creates an opportunity to make an appointment for further steps in doing voluntary work.

Examples of organizations for international volunteers:

• Sounddog: The place where musical Breda comes together! Live music, practice rooms and more.
• Chasse Theater: Theater performances in all genres and movie screenings
• Mondiaal centrum: The Mondiaal Centrum Breda (MCB) is a safe and accessible meeting place for all Breda people and especially for Breda people on the margins of society.
• BredaPhoto: It is a photo exhibition where you get the chance to view the work of national and international top photographers at unique indoor and outdoor locations in Breda. For seven weeks, the city is a life-size canvas that gives the photos an extra dimension.
• Breda Barst: It’s a two days festival full of pop, rock, metal, punk, electro, hip hop and dance in Breda’s Valkenberg city park. A nice mix of regional and local talent and established artists, plus a varied range of delicious food, a pleasant market and activities for children.
• Belcrum Beach: It’s the city beach of Breda: A place to relax with a drink and a snack, enjoying the sun, chatting with your friends, listening to music from a band or DJ, sometimes in a festival setting.
• Breda Wandelt: It’s the place to be if if you want to walk, discover and meet. The volunteers help with special events like the 4 day walking expedition.
• Poppodium Mezz: The place to be for live pop music and dance in Breda.
• Poppodium Phoenix: The location for various events, concerts, fully equipped rehearsal rooms, professional sound recordings in our recording studio, production work, CD presentations, courses, CKV activities, PA rental, international exchange projects and much more!
• Singelloop: This is a day with an annual running competition next to recreational walking possibilities through the historic center and along the canals of Breda.

About MOOIWERK
