WELCOME TO THE NETHERLANDS – THE RELOCATION APP

Are you moving to the Netherlands? The Welcome to NL Relocation App helps you prepare for your move and get settled after you arrive. The app gives you clear information about practical topics such as residence permits, registration, housing and healthcare.

With the app, you get a personal overview of your to‑do’s in one place, so you know what needs to be arranged and when. The app is tailored to your situation, for example the region you are moving to, your family situation and the sector you work in. 

The Gemeente Breda (the municipality of Breda) is responsible for many practical matters when you move to the city.

On their website, you can find official information about topics such as registering with the municipality, parking, waste collection and reporting issues in your neighbourhood, such as broken streetlights or damaged sidewalks.
 
The municipality has created a dedicated page for new residents to help you get started in Breda.
HOLLAND EXPAT CENTER SOUTH

Holland Expat Center South is a public organisation that offers a one‑stop‑shop service for internationals moving to the Netherlands. Their main goal is to help internationals feel welcome and at home in the region.

The centre works together with municipalities, the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) and other regional partners. They support you with immigration‑related matters, such as residence permits, and help you settle into life in the region. 

On the HECS website, you can find practical information about living and working in the Netherlands, as well as information about the region and events for the international community.

The guides cover many everyday topics, such as banking, healthcare, housing, education, language, taxes and leisure. This makes it easier to prepare for your move and feel more at home in the Netherlands.
